As per the usual, they were FANTASTIC! It is difficult to find presentations that appeal to both younger students (i.e. Kindergarten/Grade 1) and older students (Grade 6). The team showed up about a half an hour early, were set up quickly and were ready to go. The other thing that I personally have noticed over the years is how adept the presenters are at making the student participants comfortable. No matter who they pull from the audience, they kids always love it!"

Your amazing theatre group performed Peter Pan. It was a highly engaging performance full of laughs, excitement and intrigue. It captured the imagination, hearts and attention of all our students and staff here at Robertson Elementary. I especially liked the manner with which the audience was encouraged to interact and participate in the performance. It was definitely a rich afternoon that inspired, I am confident, more than a few of our students to look into the wonderful world of theatre! When DuffleBag Theatre hits the stage, imagine TV-weaned youngsters almost falling over laughing or tipping over on their elbows watching -get this- Shakespeare’s Macbeth!

I cannot say enough about this performance, it was excellent. They did a great job captivating all students with a fairytale and by including students in the production. I have not heard our students laugh at a performance as much as they did with this one. They are still talking about how good it was today!!

I loved the way the artists prepared the audience to participate, setting them up to show appropriate responses to the play, all the while not realising how funny the performance would be! For me, it was an education on how to prepare an audience to show appreciation for excellent storytelling!

Sooooo great! Kids were absolutely engaged.... energized! I was most appreciative that the cast took the time to talk with our Drama class prior to and after the performance... super cool stuff... come back soon!

A hilarious and accessible introduction to Shakespeare. The cast were on top form with their over-acting pitched so that it was just enough for the kids and not too much for the adults; it left both in stitches.

The presentation was amazing!! One of our grade four students told them it was the best performance that she had ever seen. They loved it. I would highly recommend the group to anyone.

I would like to thank you for two amazing performances this past Saturday... Lakeshore Arts is dedicated to bringing quality family performance to the west end of Toronto, and with DuffleBag I think we more than surpassed our mandate.
