DuffleBag Has A Show For All School Audiences!

Celebrating the wonder of storytelling, creativity, inclusiveness and imagination, a performance by DuffleBag is a shared experience that classes will never forget!

"As per the usual, they were FANTASTIC! It is difficult to find presentations that appeal to both younger students (i.e. Kindergarten/Grade 1) and older students (Grade 6). The team showed up about a half an hour early, were set up quickly and were ready to go. The other thing that I personally have noticed over the years is how adept the presenters are at making the student participants comfortable. No matter who they pull from the audience, they kids always love it!"

-Kerri-Lynn Hickman, Assistant Principal,

Ecole Beau Meadow School

Beaumont, Alberta

While our performances work for all age/grade ranges, some can be adjusted to suit younger audiences and some to fit older audiences-- our booking agents will be happy to help you find the best show for yours.

I loved the way the artists prepared the audience to participate, setting them up to show appropriate responses to the play, all the while not realising how funny the performance would be! For me, it was an education on how to prepare an audience to show appreciation for excellent storytelling!

-Zulma Van Engelen,

Bosanquet Central,

Thedford, Ontario

Audience expectations are established by DuffleBag Theatre at the beginning of the performance in a fun and interactive way. Performances run approximately 50-60 minutes, depending on the show (and laughter!) but can be adjusted if needed.

"Sooooo great! Kids were absolutely engaged.... energized! I was most appreciative that the cast took the time to talk with our Drama class prior to and after the performance... super cool stuff... come back soon!"

-Patrick Kinghorn, Principal,

Rossland Summit School,

Rossland, BC

Following the performance, time permitting, the actors can answer audience questions to build further understanding of the story, the process of creating and performing, and the magic of theatre in general.

DuffleBag offers a comprehensive study guide for teachers, to help facilitate relevant discussion or activities. Please contact KBAM! or Prologue for details.

"The presentation was amazing!! One of our grade four students told them it was the best performance that she had ever seen. They loved it. I would highly recommend the group to anyone."

-Leighann Rodger, Principal,

Agnes L. Mathers School,

Haida Gwaii, BC
